Enzymes for Textiles

In today's textile processing industry , enzymes has almost become an integral part. Specially for garments & fabrication at it's final stage. Here are some example of it's principle application: -
Desizing
For fabrics yielded from cotton or blends, adhesive substance, known as "size" are used for coating the wrap threads so that it can't be broken while weaving. The most common sizes are starches and starch derivatives. But this coating also need to be removed whenever weaving process will be over for finishing the fabric.
chemicals like acids, alkali or oxidizing agents have also to be blended with fabric while desizing. However amylases, starch breaking enzymes, are preferred because
  • Eco-Friendly.
  • High Efficiency And Specific Action.
  • Gives Complete Removal Of The Coating Without Any Adverse Effect.
Here, JAGSON offer's to you (a range of amylases for different criteria of temperatures and equipments settings)
  • Delkozym
  • Delkozyme ultra.
  • Delkozyme HT
  • Bio-Polishing
Bio-polishing is enzymatic process by which fuzz (the tiny strands of fiber that produce from the surface of yarn) & pill are reduced to a great extent in fabric produced cotton & other natural fibers based on cellulose. Consequently fabric become smother, softer & of course better colour effect.
Here, JAGSON offer's to you
  • Delkofeel
  • delkosoft
Denim Finishing
To get worn look, garments are gone through the process of wash treatment. For instance stone washing of denim jeans. Earlier times pumice stone were used for fading the blue denim. Bio-stone washing, using special cellulose that loosening the indigo dye on the denim, replaces that afore said process.
Advantages of Bio-stone washing:-
  • This process uses less pumice stone or no pumice stone. resulted less damage of garments, machines,& of course amount of dust of pumice stone (in case where pumice stone are used).
  • There are number of cellulose available at jagson under the brand name delkowash and delkostone range, each with it's special properities.these can be either alone or in combination in order to obtain a specific look.
Bio-Scouring
prior to dyeing or printing, Cotton yarn or fabric, has to be gone through a number of stages. such as scouring. That can be used to remove non-cellulosic components from native cotton (completely / partially)Scouring gives a fabric with a high and even wet ability required for proper bleaching and dying.
Today, highly alkaline chemicals like caustic soda are used for scouring to remove the non-cellulosic impurities from the cotton, but also attack the cellulose leading to heavy strength loss and weight loss in the fabric. Furthermore, using these hazardous chemicals result in high COD (chemical oxygen demand), BOD (biological oxygen demand) and TDS, in the waste water
Recently, jagson has brought a new alternative under the brand name Delkoscour for the new enzymatic scouring process, known as 'Bio-Scouring'.
Bleach Clean-up
Prior to dying ,through "bleach clean up "process is necessary for natural fabrics yielded from cotton. Traditionally ,we neutralize the bleach with a reducing agent, but dose has to be controlled precisely. Here Enzymes can be better alternative as it is easy to use & effect can be seen wit less time .in addition to that ,the major benefit of using enzymes is that that small amount of dose is enough to break down the hydrogen peroxide into water & oxygen .thus water consumption will be very low & as a result waste water can be kept minimum.
delkoprrox - a catalase offered by jagson is used for removing residual hydrogen peroxide after the bleaching of cotton. It reduces the rinsing necessary to remove belach or it can be used to replace chemical treatments.
Advantages of Delkoscour :-
  • all non-cellulosic components are removed from native cotton are completely or partially.
  • cotton gets an intact cellulose structure, with lower weight loss and strength loss.
  • The fabric gives better wetting and penetration properties, making subsequent bleach process easy and resultantly giving much better dye uptake.
